Description: The old sailor Pietro has one son, the young Schiantacatene who is married to Mary, and a daughter, the beautiful Fiamma. One night, despite the news of an imminent pirate attack, the men decide to go fishing, entrusting the defense of their village to the young Fiamma. But when the pirates actually land, their chief turns out to be an old acquaintance for Fiamma: during a previous attack he had defended and saved the young girl. Having recognized him, she gives in to his promises of love and forgets to watch over her village. Too late she will realize that the pirates have taken advantage of her distraction for raiding the fishermen's village. The video is a copy from the film print preserved by the Museo Nazionale del Cinema: 16 mm, positive, acetate, 373 m, black and white, Italian intertitles, silent.
